What causes a sequence of events to be set in motion? Is everything predestined to unfold according to a script, is everything that occurs just a random coincidence or is it the result something else all together? These are the types of questions that have perpetually aroused the collective human curiosity throughout the ages.

This morning I set down my eyeglasses during the morning rush of trying to get the kids off to school, curbing the garbage and trying to ready myself for work. I didn’t realize that they were missing until after I was showered and dressed. Upon this realization, I scoured the house searching for them. My efforts were in vain. No matter how many times I retraced my steps, I could not make a successful discovery.

Today I worked from home. As I attempted to conduct some business and finish several projects for Associated Content, I found myself periodically sneaking a peek in one or more rooms in the house to see if I could spot my eye wear. Each successive look continued to produce no fruit.

Lately, I have struggled to ready something for publication on Associated Content. This theme has remained consistent whether I am trying to put the finishing touches on a self proclaimed literary wonder or simply updating several page view race articles and slideshows. I simply have not completed the tasks at hand.

My efforts today were continuing along this same course, like a ship lost out at sea. At some point in my day’s voyage, I noticed that I was a bit hungry. I went to the cabinet and grabbed a package of Ritz Crackers. As I walked back to my computer, I proceeded to open the package of crackers. Of course the package tore and the crackers fell all over the deck of the kitchen. The dog looked up with hope in her eyes as I cursed under my breath. As I turned to my right to set the empty package down and begin to clean up my mess, to my surprise sitting on top of a bin of crayons were my glasses.

So now I ask you the reader to consider what I have told you and explain what caused this sequence of events to be set in motion? All I know is that I found my glasses. I was also able to utilize this experience to break the chains that bound me and create the piece of work that you just finished reading.
