Graham Crackers

By Evan-Amos (Own work) [Public domain], via Wikimedia Commons

With all the new and sophisticated ways that perishable foods are packaged, it is simply unacceptable to continue to package graham crackers in the manner in which they are packaged today. I have no objection to the box that graham crackers ship in. It is that paper like film that houses a pack of crackers that irritates me.

First, this paper is difficult to open neatly. Often, when I attempt to open a package of graham crackers the wrapper just tears apart, leaving it completely unusable for leftovers. Second, even if one succeeds at opening the wrapper just right, it is difficult to seal the remaining crackers in the package so as to preserve their freshness. Third, if kids are involved in the opening or resealing of a graham cracker package, you can generally kiss those crackers good bye.
