Happiness is not texting my wife and asking if she has any ideas for dinner. Then a bit later while awaiting her reply, opening up the the refrigerator to get a quick snack and seeing the crock pot with a turkey in it staring back at me. This was the turkey that my wife had prepared in the morning for our supper tonight. My only job was to remove the crock pot from the refrigerator, plug it in and set the temperature to eight hours and the timer to low. With few options at hand, I play it safe with, “Honey I’m sorry! I promise I will try to make it up to you somehow.” I tell her the good news is that I wasn’t texting and driving! Gobble, Gobble!

I am fairly certain that after publishing this for the first time, I comment within a short period of time that I had committed the same offense. However, today it provides me with great happiness to announce, it is indeed possible to teach new tricks to a bull rider, bull writer or for that matter just a bull. I know this, because today I removed the crock pot from the refrigerator, plugged it in and set the temperature to eight hours and the timer to low. Hopefully, by the end of today, I shall have more good news to share with my wife.
