It is no secret that online writers are taking a beating as they lose opportunities to write and post their written material. Sites like Helium and Epinions recently closed their doors. Yahoo also joined the going away party when they announced they would shutdown YCN on July 31, 2014.

There are many horror stories online about shady websites for writers and websites where writers don’t earn much of a return for their efforts. Please take a moment, help your comrades by noting some of the websites that you recommend that writers avoid.

Originally published on Bubblews on July 20, 2014. However, I deleted it, because many of my other Bubbles vanished without explanation from Bubblews on August 1, 2014 and August 2, 2014. Other than a non-informational auto-reply, Arvind and his Bubblews support team did not acknowledge my inquiries that I directed to them about this disappearance.

Note 1: This piece did not make the front page of Bubblews. There once was a time, when a bubble on the front page of Bubblews seemed to earn more money than a bubble that was not on the front page of Bubblews. To the best of my knowledge none of the Bubbles that I blew made the front page of Bubblews.

Gentle readers, let me ask all of you this question. Is Bubblews a scam or legit site?

  1. I saw Bubble…said…nah…this doesn’t look right…took it for a joke. Was right.

  2. Avoid Ghostbloggers.net too. Actually, stay as far away as possible. They aren’t paying. They keep 100% of the profits. Read this… http://www.virtualassistantassistant.com/ghostbloggers

  3. Hi Han, how are you? Just thought I would drop in and say that I have to consider Bubblews a scam site. even though I got my $120 out of them earlier in the year. They still missed two payments in 2013, and did nothing to resolve it despite several emails asking that it be looked into. So I learn towards Scam and it really annoys the tripe out of me when sites delete your work and give no explanation.

  4. Writers are often better off writing for their own sites
